The latest extraction shooter on the market took the world by storm when it launched last year and now to celebrate an impressive milestone, players can get their hands on a free gift.
Released in October 2025, ARC Raiders burst onto the extraction shooter scene with the creators of The Finals offering players the chance to head into immersive maps either solo or in groups of two or three in order to grab loot and most importantly, get out alive.
Since its release, ARC Raiders went on to win the Best Multiplayer Game award at 2025’s The Game Awards and has been met with generally favourable reviews thanks to its rewarding gameplay, key extraction-shooter elements, and a clear progression system.
However, it has also come under fire for its use of generative AI, although this is something which has been disclaimed from the start by Embark Studios.
Nevertheless, millions of players are still flocking to ARC Raiders.
So much so, that the extraction shooter has recently hit a major milestone.
According to Embark Studios, ARC Raiders has officially sold over 12 million copies.
“Today we’re celebrating a huge milestone… since launch we’ve seen over 12 million Raiders ascend from Speranza to raid the Rust Belt!” The official social media post recently read.
“We’re so proud and humbled by your love for ARC Raiders, and we can’t wait to continue the journey with you all as we kick off the New Year!”

Celebrate the New Year in Style
As a thank you to players, Embark Studios has announced that it has “crafted a special gift”.
To commemorate the occasion, any player who has logged in since launch until 23:59 CET on 13 Jan will automatically receive the prestigious Gilded Pickaxe Raider Tool.
The free item will be rolled out alongside the brand-new ARC Raiders patch, marking the first update of the year.
The patch is set to introduce the Abyss cosmetic set, alongside balance adjustments to the Trigger ‘Nade and Kettle.
But do not forget to check your inbox to redeem your Gilded Pickaxe Raider Tool.
Following the recent milestone, ARC Raiders’ fans took to r/ArcRaiders to share their congratulations.
“The most fun I’ve had gaming in years,” one comment read.
“12m is CRAZY. Congrats to the dev team,” another added.
With another year only just beginning, who knows what else we can expect from Embark Studio’s ARC Raiders throughout 2026?
