Shuntaro Furukawa, the current president of Nintendo, answered plenty of questions recently. While he remained silent on a possible price increase for Switch 2, he said he was vigilant about RAM shortages.
The businessman obviously touched on other topics during his interview with Kyoto Shimbun. He stated that Switch 2 stocks are now stable everywhere except in Japan, which needs a little more time.
As for games, Furukawa announced that Nintendo is “developing titles from popular series that many fans are waiting for, as well as completely new licenses”. That being said, the company is looking beyond video games.
In fact, movie adaptations are not part of the Japanese company’s short-term strategy. The goal is to showcase the brand’s characters. Nintendo intends to release more movies centered on Mario and Zelda. The creation of anime is also being considered.
