One of the biggest doubts One Piece fans had after the announcement of Netflix’s live-action adaptation of Eichiiro Oda’s global hit series concerned the visual effects. One Piece, like many other shonen manga, is a spectacle of bizarre powers, fantastical creatures, and unique locations, which are all hard to translate into a live-action series. While the first season of Netflix’s One Piece did a decent job with its visual effects, the larger scope of second season One Piece: Into the Grand Line made those initial worries seem even more relevant.
