Action RPG Code Vein 2 joins growing list of major games that don't support PS5 Pro enhancements

A major upcoming RPG appears to be launching without PS5 Pro support in a concerning new trend that emerged late last year. Although Sony is heavily promoting Bandai Namco Entertainment’s Code Vein 2, the publisher isn’t offering dedicated enhancements for Sony’s pricey hardware at launch.

Action RPG Code Vein 2 joins growing list of major games that don’t support PS5 Pro enhancements

The PS Blog recently published two comprehensive features about Code Vein 2, which surprisingly didn’t mention the PS5 Pro. Naturally, we looked up the game on the PS Store to confirm our suspicions, and found that none of Code Vein 2’s various listings carry the “PS5 Pro Enhanced” tag.

Considering the game will launch on January 29 (30 in some regions), we would have heard about PS5 Pro enhancements if Code Vein 2 offered any.

Bandai Namco Entertainment hasn’t mentioned anything about the PS5 Pro, so it’s unclear if Code Vein 2 will be patched after launch or not.

Nevertheless, this isn’t a good look for the PS5 Pro, especially as the console continues to be snubbed by Sony itself. Here’s hoping that the promised PSSR update lands soon, which will supposedly make it easier for developers to release Pro Enhanced games.
