We still don’t know the price of the Steam Machine. While some rumors pointed to a hypothetical price of around $700 or $800 Valve claims it wants to sell the console like a PC.
Currently, memory shortages are causing sharp price increases on many products. The Steam Machine could bear the brunt of this, forcing Valve to raise its prices, and there are some rumors to this effect.
Czech retailer Smarty.cz has published a preliminary listing for the Steam Machine. Although the prices are not yet public, they have been added to the website. A simple analysis of the source code using web browser development tools allows them to be viewed.
The 512 GB version of the Steam Machine is listed at CZK 19,826, or €816.41 before tax. The 2TB model is listed at CZK 22,305, or €918.50 before tax. Of course, these could simply be speculative prices from the retailer. These figures should therefore be taken with a pinch of salt.
