Although 2026 just started, PlayStation games are already getting delisted. The latest is for an RPG that was originally released for the PS4 and PS Vita in Japan in 2015, and will be taken off digital storefronts next week.
2015 PS4, PS Vita RPG Delisted for Some, Others Could Follow
In a recent post from video game publisher Spike Chunsoft, it was announced that Exist Archive: The Other Side of the Sky will be delisted in Japan. Specifically, the PS4 version should already be delisted, while the PS Vita version will be delisted on January 5 at midnight JST.
Spike Chunsoft added that players who have already purchased Exist Archive: The Other Side of the Sky will be able to redownload the game even after it gets delisted. The company also announced that production on physical versions will be discontinued. They also stated, “we extend our deepest gratitude to our customers and kindly ask for your understanding.”
Spike Chunsoft was the publisher for Exist Archive: The Other Side of the Sky in Japan. The game’s western publisher is Aksys Games, but the publisher has yet to announce if it plans to delist the game in the West.
Exist Archive: The Other Side of the Sky is an RPG developed by tri-Ace. When it was originally released in the West in 2016, it was met with mixed review scores. According to the review aggregate site Metacritic, it garnered an average score of 69 across 14 critic reviews. In our review, we gave it an 8 out of 10.
“Within Exist Archive: The Other Side of the Sky you will be treated to a game featuring a unique storytelling angle, amazing art design, a roster of a dozen compelling and unique characters and a beefy campaign,” reads our review.
Exist Archive: The Other Side of the Sky is still available on the PS Store in the West for $59.99. Players who have been thinking of grabbing the RPG may want to grab it soon before it disappears.
