A tradition that has lasted for 18 long years could be broken in 2026. Plenty of reports suggest that Apple has decided not to release its iPhone 18 next September.
This standard model could ultimately arrive in spring 2027, giving the iPhone 17 a few extra months on the market. This change would be the result of a complete overhaul of the American brand’s release schedule.
Starting in fall 2026, customers will still be able to rush to buy the high-end models, which will be the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. In addition, Apple’s first foldable smartphone is expected to be released alongside these two models.
The iPhone 18, iPhone 18e, and iPhone Air 2 will have to wait until spring 2027. It remains to be seen what innovations Apple will offer in this range, particularly in terms of gaming.
