The Sims is known for many things, from its iconic plumbob to the nonsense poetry of Simlish echoing across a single lot. Unfortunately, itβs also known for paywalls. Paid add-ons have been part of the series since the beginning, but The Sims 4 truly perfected the art of fragmentation. It normalized slicing up its content into Expansion Packs, Game Packs, Stuff Packs, and Kits that can quietly balloon into a four-figure investment at full price. For most Simmers, this is exorbitant.
