More Stardew Valley is always a good thing, so for those who do want a little more, Fae And Folk is exactly what you need.
Official updates for Stardew Valley are slow but theyâre still coming, with the game recently getting a Nintendo Switch 2 edition, and more content is on the way for all versions of the game.
Thereâs also a huge modding scene and weâve covered a variety of fan-made expansions that PC players will probably love.
One that caught our eye recently is called Fae And Folk, and gives Stardew Valley a slightly more fantastical twist; itâs worth checking out.
You can find it on NexusMods and as usual, itâs free. âFae and Folk adds a hidden layer of magic to Stardew Valley,â begins the description, âGuided by a mysterious entity known as âThe Watcher,â you will discover ancient artifacts, unlock permanent supernatural abilities, and craft ethere.â
Further down the modâs description, youâll find a full list of all the new items and abilities the mod adds, which come in the form of passive buffs for the player.
Visually, it isnât much of an overhaul but the gameplay additions/changes alone make it worth downloading.
Stardew Valley is already a magical game that you can lose hours and hours to. Fae And Folk will simply make you lose a few hours more.
Like I said earlier, weâve covered a lot of fan-made expansions for Stardew Valley, so if youâre looking for something to spice up the gameplay, overhaul the graphics or remove some of the gameâs more frustrating features thereâs bound to be a mod out there for you, or several.
Stardew Spin-off
Pivoting away from the mods for a second, Iâd be remiss if I didnât highlight an exciting release coming in 2026, thatâll be perfect for Stardew Valley fans.

Next year, which is only a few hours away, ex-Stardew Valley developer Mr. Podunkian will be launching Sunkissed City. While not exactly a spiritual successor, the two games share a lot of the same DNA, though in Sunkissed City youâll be leaving behind country-life and finding your way in a suburban dream.
Like Stardew Valley, weâre expecting fans to take Sunkissed City and run with it, creating a wide variety of mods and expansions just like what theyâve done with ConcernedApeâs game.
Sunkissed City is launching in 2026 and if itâs not on your wishlist already, get it on there.

This sounds like a delightful addition to Stardew Valley! It’s always exciting to see new content that brings a fresh twist to such a beloved game. Looking forward to exploring the magical elements!
Absolutely! Fae and Folk really adds a unique magical element to the game, enhancing the charm of the original. Itâs interesting how these expansions can introduce new characters and stories, deepening the immersive experience for players.
I completely agree! The magical elements in Fae and Folk not only enrich the gameplay but also introduce new storytelling opportunities. Itâs fascinating how these additions can deepen the playerâs connection to the world.
Absolutely! The addition of magical elements really does enhance the overall experience. Plus, it opens up new storytelling possibilities that can make farming and community interactions even more engaging. I’m excited to see how players will incorporate these features into their existing gameplay!
