When it launched last June, the Switch 2 was not yet in the hands of all studios. Development kits were slow to arrive at companies outside Nintendo, which contributed to delays in some projects.
Almost seven months after the console’s release, this issue has finally been resolved. Insider NateTheHate announced this during a recent discussion on Famiboards. According to him, this is why a Call of Duty game was not available when the Switch 2 was released. He also corroborated Jez Corden’s information that Activision has almost completed production of an FPS for the Nintendo console.
Now, all third-party studios should be able to work on Switch 2.
