Here’s noclip, a web that lets you explore the levels of your favorite games for free

It’s time to discover or rediscover a website that will appeal to all video game lovers. Already well known since its creation in 2018, noclip is a true love letter to retro titles.

A user named Jasper decided to compile maps and levels from various games on a single website. Users can then visit them freely and for free from a simple web browser. The site features Wii, 3DS, DS, Nintendo 64, PS2, Xbox, and PC games.

This means you can explore the circuits of Mario Kart DS, the planets of Super Mario Galaxy, the city of Liberty City in GTA III, the magical world of Final Fantasy X, and the gloomy settings of Dark Souls. The “Experimental” section contains unfinished projects such as GTA: Vice City, Crash Bandicoot 3, Super Mario Odyssey, and Half-Life 2.

It’s a gold mine that’s open to everyone. To control the camera, simply use the ZQSD keys on your keyboard. Hold down the Shift key to move faster. Finally, use the mouse wheel to manually adjust the camera speed.

This could be a great little pastime for the end of the year.
