Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 actor, Devora Wilde, wants to reprise her character, and we must say, we’d love to see it.
There’s been no escaping the hype that surrounds Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. To say that this RPG has been the hit game of 2025 would be an understatement.
In our review of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, GAMINGbible alumni, Dan Lipscombe said: “This is a wonderfully imaginative game, bursting with identity, and it has a lot to say about important topics. Yes, the path is a bit muddy and cumbersome, but the destination is worth it, and the journey is magical.”
Developed by the small indie team at Sandfall Interactive, this beloved RPG has been claiming Game of the Year awards, like there’s no tomorrow, most notably, winning nine awards at The Game Awards (including GOTY). However, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 had a Game of the Year award at one convention before it was redacted, over claims of using generative AI. The developers at Sandfall Interactive hit back at those claims.
One of the many reasons why so many gamers connected with Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is due to its fantastic writers and wonderful cast of characters. One of those characters is Clea, played by Baldur’s Gate 3 star, Devora Wilde.

Devora Wilde Wants More Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
During my interview with Devora, not only did she say that she’d love to reprise the role of Lae’zel from Baldur’s Gate 3, but she’d be very open to returning to Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 as Clea, perhaps as a prequel DLC.
“I do remember when I, Jennifer English and Elena Delia said this game is going to be huge, but even I was surprised by how well fans would take to it. We knew the story was something amazing, and the whole team is incredible. You always hope a game is going to be a success, but you never really know until it’s out,” Devora told me.
“Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has earned all the awards it’s getting, because it’s beautiful. The story, music, everything. It’s captured lightning in a bottle.
“Now, the question I get asked is, are we going to get DLC, perhaps a prequel? The answer to that is, I just don’t know. But I would love to see more. My character, Clea, has a life she’s lived parallel to the main Expedition 33 storyline that is playing out.”
So, there you have it, Sandfall Interactive. If you do revisit Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, whether it’s a new full game or DLC, be sure to give the lovely Devora Wilde a call.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is out now on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. It’s also included with an Xbox Game Pass subscription.
