As the year closes, Sony is celebrating the upcoming holiday festivities with its Holiday Sale on the PlayStation Store. This will allow PS4 and PS5 players to save up to 75% on some of the best games the digital storefront has to offer. That includes this fan-favorite RPG that has been supported since its launch in 2014.
The Elder Scrolls Online is $4.99 on the PS Store
Developed by ZeniMax Online Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks, The Elder Scrolls Online is currently $4.99 on the PS Store. That is 75% off its typical price of $19.99. PS4 and PS5 players who want to take advantage of this deal will have to act fast. The offer ends on January 8 at 2:59 a.m. ET.
Here is a trailer and description of The Elder Scrolls Online, giving players an idea of what to expect from the MMORPG:
“Every legend starts somewhere and in The Elder Scrolls Online, it starts with you. Write your story into a vibrant chapter of Tamriel’s distant past that takes place nearly 1,000 years before the iconic TES V: Skyrim, and discover a world steeped in adventure and possibility.”
A couple of things should be noted before purchasing The Elder Scrolls Online. First, this particular version comes with the base game, as well as the Morrowind Chapter. Players who want to experience the new content will have to purchase the 2025 Content Pass, which is currently on sale for $16.49 instead of $49.99. Also, players will need a PlayStation Plus subscription to play the game, as an online connection is required to play.
When The Elder Scrolls Online was first released on PC in 2014, it received mixed reviews. According to the review aggregate site Metacritic, it garnered a 71 across 64 critic reviews. Although it didn’t quite hit when it was first released, it has maintained a solid player base and is still being supported today with fresh updates and content.
