Cyberpunk 2077 Gets Christmas Makeover, Enjoy For Free

Cyberpunk 2077 has just received a new mod to give it a small Christmas makeover, perfect for anyone visiting Night City this week.

CD Projekt Red games are perfect for modding, giving the community tools to create new and modified experiences that are separated from the base game.

And with it being the Christmas season right now, it seems like as good a time as any to check out any new Christmas mods that have been released by modders.

More Apartment Toys – Christmas Edition is one such mod for Cyberpunk 2077, which adds more AV drone toys to The Glen, H10, and Japantown apartments. These toys can fly around the apartments, and are themed with various Christmas theming visuals and sound effects.

The mod adds an “Alternate toy landing pad, made more Christmas themed with piles of gifts rather than a Trauma Team decal,” and also features “new bespoke flight paths that the AV/drone flies along through the apartments.”

The AV itself features Christmas colours, along with a stack of presents in the back and is being pulled by four holographic reindeer.

There are also sleigh bell sound effects to go along with this, with a small Christmas jingle playing on a loop with randomised delays as the toy flies.

After the holidays, mod creator Deceptious says it’ll become a normal mod rather than something that is themed around Christmas.

They also have plans to expand it for the Corpo Plaza apartment, but they also say the Northside Motel might be too small.

This mod pairs well with other similarly-themed mods, like this mod which adds Christmas trees to each of V’s apartments.

There is also this mod, which adds various Christmas-themed props and decorations to the game.

Cyberpunk 2077 is now over five years old, and development on the sequel appears to still be in its early stages.

The sequel’s title, Cyberpunk 2, was officially unveiled earlier this year (though we believe it may not be the final version), and it seems like it’s full steam ahead for CD Projekt Red as it ramps up development on the game.

In addition to that, CD Projekt Red is also working on The Witcher IV, a remake of the original The Witcher, and several other games based on its IPs, including a multiplayer Witcher game that doesn’t have any major details yet.
