Sandfall Interactive doesn’t want to grow more

In an interview with Edge magazine via GamesRadar+, Sandfall Interactive, the studio behind Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, explained that it does not intend to “scale up” or significantly expand its workforce for its next game, even after the critical and commercial success of their title.

Creative director Guillaume Broche says he prefers to keep a small team and stay focused on game development rather than management or expansion, believing that limitations foster creativity and the joy of working together.

“No, I think it’s good to have limitations when you are creative. It’s the best way to be the best version of yourself.”

Although they now have the financial means to increase their size, the team remains committed to its current structure in order to pursue future projects in a more intimate and agile format.
