Battlefield 6’s Buggy Update Is Being Fixed, As New Patches Scheduled And Tournament Delayed

The Winter Offensive update went live in Battlefield 6 on December 9, bringing new content and a limited-time event. Unfortunately, the update also added a host of issues that affected gameplay. The problems were so severe that the developer has now postponed Battlefield 6’s $1 million tournament series for Redsec and outlined the fixes planned for future updates.

The Winter Offensive update caused a wide variety of issues across all platforms, with bugs related to the Breakthrough and Portal modes, as well as performance issues with stuttering on PC. There was even a main menu issue that prevented some players from selecting and playing game modes.

The developer has responded with a new community update post, which details known issues as well as new updates planned to release before the holidays.
