11 bit studios has revisited Frostpunk 1886 in a developer diary. This is a remake of the first game, completely recreated using Unreal Engine.
In a new video, the developers shared concept art and provided several details. The game will feature more intelligent and expressive citizens thanks to new animations created using improved motion capture. Players will be able to form emotional bonds with other characters.
The lighting system has also been redesigned to accentuate the beauty and coldness of Frostland. Finally, the textures of the buildings will be modernized. Frostpunk 1886 is expected to be released in 2027 on PC.
