Silent Hill Watch Out, There’s a Terrifying New PC Horror With an Eerie Twist

A newly announced psychological horror game is already turning some heads online, because the twist featured in its teaser trailer more than implies that our protagonist isn’t exactly telling us the whole truth.

The 2025 PC Gaming Show: Most Wanted event has provided us with a few surprises this year, but I don’t think any of them have topped this Silent Hill-esque horror trailer.

The teaser trailer for When Sirens Fall Silent, an upcoming horror game from developers LKA and publisher Wired Productions, is already a bit unsettling from its outset, but it’s the little twist at the end that’s got folks talking.

Here’s your first and last chance to have a peek at the trailer for yourself, before I absolutely spoil its contents for you.

As you may have been able to figure out for yourself ahead of time (by staring at the reflection on the TV screen), the victim in When Sirens Fall Silent’s trailer is actually working in tandem with the malevolent force that’s gunning for our real protagonist, Mila.

There’s obviously a lot we don’t know about the plot of the game at the moment, but I do think it’s interesting that the devs have stated that “misogyny” is one of the themes that the story will explore.

It seems like a unique dynamic to me, because it’s hard to say if the victim in the trailer is wilfully working with the real mastermind, or has been manipulated into doing so. However, considering those aforementioned themes, I wouldn’t be surprised if it ends up being the latter.

The devs at LKA are the same ones behind both Martha is Dead and The Town of Light though, so I feel confident about them following through with the set-up.

There’s no exact word on when this will be released yet, although the devs have stated that they’re aiming for 2027.

Whenever When Sirens Fall Silent does drop, you’ll be able to get your hands on it on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/Xbox Series X, and Steam. No word on a potential Nintendo Switch 2 release yet.

In the meantime, I’d keep a close eye on Wired Production’s YouTube channel if you’re interested in hearing more.

After all, the trailer for the game does specifically state that it’s merely “Act 1” of something much longer, so I have a pretty good feeling that we’ll be seeing a few more trailers for this one in 2026.

Absolutely! The psychological elements often stay with you long after the game ends, making it a truly immersive experience. I’m curious to see how this new game will utilize sound design to enhance that eerie atmosphere even further.
