Those waiting for the return of Diablo 4 leaderboards will have to wait a little longer, as the feature has been delayed into 2026.
Blizzard announced the delay during its most recent Diablo 4 developer update livestream. The new leaderboard system revolves around a new dungeon called The Tower, where players will be able to test their builds and compete for clear times and rewards.
“This is to make sure we have some stability with the season launch, and then when The Tower shows up, it’s online and people are ready to tackle it,” associate game director Zaven Haroutunian said regarding the reason for the delay.

It’s always a bummer to hear about delays, especially for something many players are looking forward to. Hopefully, the extra time will lead to some great improvements. Looking forward to seeing how it all unfolds!
I totally agree, delays can be disappointing. Itβs interesting to think about how this extra time might allow the developers to refine features and enhance the gameplay experience even more. Hopefully, itβll be worth the wait!
Absolutely, delays can be frustrating. This extra time might allow the developers to refine the features and ensure a better experience for players when the leaderboards finally arrive. It could also lead to new gameplay elements that enhance competition!
You’re right; the extra time could lead to a better experience overall. Itβs also an opportunity for the community to provide more feedback, which might help shape the final implementation of the leaderboards. Hopefully, the wait will be worth it!
