With all the controversy over leaks for Grand Theft Auto 6, it’s somewhat refreshing that new details, however scant, could emerge from a demo reel. Posted on Vimeo by Benjamin Chue, a former animator, and since pulled, there’s at least one notable new bit.
It’s a shot that sees a character taking a bike, known as LomBike, from a stand and riding off with it. The next shot sees them returning it, and that looks like a bike rental service if ever we’ve seen one. Though players spotted hints of this in the last trailer, this is probably the first concrete evidence that they’re usable.
Whether the LomBike has any connection to Lombank from Grand Theft Auto 4 and 5 remains to be seen. The other animations showcase a character exiting a pickup truck, one from a seated position in the back and the second while standing on the roof. Could this tie into a mission with protagonist Lucia, or is it simply part of a cutscene with other characters?
Time will tell, especially since Grand Theft Auto 6 will launch on November 19th, 2026, after recently facing another delay. It will be available on Xbox Series X/S and PS5 on release.
