‘Tis the season to score some serious bargains on smart home gear. While Black Friday is behind us, Cyber Monday is coming up fast, so there is still time to grab a bargain on that smart lock you’ve been eyeing or take the plunge on a robot vacuum. Here I’ve rounded up the best deals I’ve spotted so far on some of my favorite smart home gear.
Savings on smart speakers and smart displays
Amazon Echo Spot (2024)
The Echo Spot is down to $49.99 at Amazon, close to its all-time low. This is a great bedside table Alexa smart speaker/ alarm clock, thanks to its small footprint, minimalist display, and impressive sound for its size. Read my full review.

- Apple’s second-gen HomePod is $30 off at Best Buy, at $269.99. The best Siri-enabled smart speaker you can buy, the HomePod has excellent sound and works with Apple Home as a Home hub, Thread border router, and Matter controller to control your smart home devices. Read my review.
- The brand new Echo Dot Max is seeing its first discount (of likely many), with $10 off at Amazon, Best Buy, and Target. The larger Echo Studio is seeing a bigger $30 discount. Both are excellent smart speakers for Alexa users, and come with Alexa Plus out of the box, and no screen to push ads at you. Aqara LED Ceiling Light T1M

- Philips Hue is discounting a bunch of its Zigbee bulbs, following the launch of its Thread versions earlier this year. You’ll need a Hue Bridge to use them, but a three-pack of its 60W full-color bulbs is a great deal for $69.99 at Amazon (down from $110) — that’s just $23 per bulb.
- The colorful Govee Outdoor String Lights are 42 percent off, down to just $69.99 for a whopping 96 feet at Amazon. These Matter-compatible lights are a great option for decorating outdoor spaces.
Smart switches/plugs/sensor deals
Philips Hue Tap Dial Switch
The Tap Dial is the best smart switch for Philips Hue lights. This wireless, battery-operated switch can control multiple lights, scenes, and rooms and can be used like a remote or like a wall switch when attached to its included wall plate. - SwitchBot’s simple Smart Switch Button Pusher is just $19.99 at Amazon, down from $29.99. This is a great gadget for a new smart home user, as it can turn any button into a smart one.
- Speaking of getting started with the smart home, one of the best value smart home hubs, Aqara’s Hub M3, is down to $99.99 at Amazon, 33 percent off. An Aqara Matter Controller, Thread border router, and Zigbee hub for Aqara devices, this is a great hub to build your smart home on.

- The dependable Meross Garage Door Opener that works with every smart home platform is $39.99 at Amazon, down from $59.99. This adds connectivity to your garage door controller so you can open and close it from anywhere.
Smart thermostats and air purifiers on sale
Google Nest Learning Thermostat (4th-gen)
The striking fourth-gen Nest is over $50 off right now (in gold) and is a great addition to your smart home if you’re looking to save money on heating and cooling. With a bigger screen, better dial, and a room sensor included, this is one of the best thermostats you can buy. Read my full review.

- The Ecobee Smart Thermostat Premium and Advanced are up to 25 percent off at Amazon right now. These excellent thermostats are a great option for those who want fine-grained control over their HVAC system and energy use. Ecobee’s fast-expanding ecosystem now includes a video doorbell and security system, for which the thermostat doubles as a hub and keypad.
- I love SwitchBot’s versatile Air Purifier Table that doubles as a wireless charger. It’s 41 percent off ($159.99) at Amazon and works with Matter, so it supports all smart home platforms.
Deals on robot vacuums and lawnmowers
Roborock Saros 10
My favorite flagship robot vacuum, the excellent Roborock Saros 10 is down to $1,100 at Amazon. It features Roborock’s unique sonic mopping system and can automatically remove its mopping pad before cleaning carpet. Its vacuuming and navigation are also best-in-class. Read my review.

- The budget-friendly Yeedi brand (a subbrand of Ecovacs) is selling its flagship Yeedi M14 Plus for $479.99, down from $999.99, a whopping 60 percent off. This is the first roller mop robot vacuum you can buy for under $500. It comes with a multifunction dock and performs similarly to my top pick, the Ecovacs X8.
- The pint-sized Switchbot K11 Plus robot vacuum is an excellent choice if you want something small and discreet that will keep your floors clean. It’s down to $180 at Amazon with an on-page coupon — over 50 percent off.
- The superbly named Ecovacs Goat robot lawnmower is $699.99 at Amazon, down from $999.99. It’s a good option for smaller yards and is easy to set up and use thanks to lidar navigation.
- The impressive Husqvarna Automower IQ robot lawnmower series is up to $1290 off at Amazon, based on yard size. It requires an antenna installation but no wires, and can handle yards of all sizes.
