Just when you thought that Stardew Valley couldn’t get any better, the fantastic modding community adds a brand new expansion.
Stardew Valley was originally released in 2016 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, before being ported to multiple platforms over the years, including mobile devices.
āYou’ve inherited your grandfather’s old farm plot in Stardew Valley. Armed with hand-me-down tools and a few coins, you set out to begin your new life. Can you learn to live off the land and turn these overgrown fields into a thriving home?ā reads the synopsis of the game.
However, if you think that ConcernedApe might be done with porting Stardew Valley after nearly a decade since its original launch, then think again. Later this year, the beloved indie darling is being ported to the Nintendo Switch 2, and it will come with a host of exclusive features.
Other than being a fantastic game in its own right, some of the reasons why Stardew Valley has remained so popular after all these years is not only down to its wealth of free content updates but also the ever-vibrant modding community, continually breathing new life into the game with tons of new content.
Modders Add New Content To The Games We Love

One such mod is called āShopkeeper Leela – Pierre’s Competitionā, created by yuninocorn and itās free to download right now via NexusMods for PC users.
āDo you ever get tired of Pierre selling your crops as his own and bragging about it?ā asked the creator of the mod.
āPersonally, I don’t think he is a much better option than Joja. To solve this issue, I have created this content pack, which adds a little shop by the bus stop where you can buy and sell the same items as at Pierre’s. This shop is run by Leela, who is a lovely elderly woman with three cats.ā
Once the mod is downloaded and applied to the game, the new shop will have the same opening hours as Pierreās from 8am to 6pm every in-game day. Here, youāll be able to buy, sell, and acquire upgrades until your heart is content.
Sadly, as is the case with most mods, this is a PC exclusive. Thankfully, however, Stardew Valley remains an awesome game, regardless of your platform of choice.
The next game from ConcernedApe will be Haunted Chocolatier, which, at the time of writing, does not have a release date just yet.
