Dan Houser explains in an interview that he is using AI to a limited extent in the development of his upcoming gameβbut says that the technology is far from being as revolutionary as some people claim.
While promoting his new book, A Better Paradise Volume One, which deals with a video game project sabotaged by overly powerful AI, Houser was asked about his use of artificial intelligence at his own studio, Absurd Ventures.
He confirmed that he works with AI, but immediately tempered this by explaining that many things are not as useful as companies would have us believe and that it is not a miracle solution.
For him, some tasks can be accomplished with AI, while others are completely out of reach. Even though it shows real potential, the last step, the one that will make the technology truly comparable to human work in a creative pipeline, remains the hardest to take.
