The sad records keep coming for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. Not only is it already one of the lowest-rated games by fans on Metacritic, but it also seems to be struggling commercially in one particular country.
While Japan is clearly not the franchise’s strongest market, Black Ops 7 still had the worst launch in the series’ history there, with only 12,311 copies sold. Game Pass is undoubtedly partly to blame for this failure, but we are still a long way from Black Ops 6 and its 32,628 copies.
Call of Duty 3, released in 2007, had previously had the worst total with 14,117 units. For now, Call of Duty: Black Ops II remains the best-selling title in Japan with 245,148 copies sold.
