Something for the Weekend – 22/11/25

I certainly wasn’t expecting to have been raining in Las Vegas when I belatedly got up and turned on the replay of the Formula 1 qualifying. I’m not silly enough to get up at 4AM for this time-shifted race, so enjoyed the mixed up conditions with daylight emerging, and now I’m rather looking forward to doing the same for the race tomorrow!

In the News This Week

Microsoft had an Xbox Partner Preview stream this week, which dished out a bunch of trailers and announcements to sink our teeth into.

Games in Review & Featured Articles

Let’s start off with the reviews, as per usual.

We also had a couple hardware reviews for the Gioteck WX5+ controller and Corsair SABRE v2 Pro mouse.

Beyond that, Nic had the chance to sit down with Sohei Niikawa to talk Etrange Overlord and life after the board room.

Jason dove into the early access release of Moonlighter 2 for the first time, which is handling a jump across to 3D visuals and deeper combat. I went hands on with the puppet-tastic Dragon Quest VII Reimagined, which is shaping up really nicely, and Team Ninja’s latest soulslike in the form of Nioh 3. It’s going broader, and it has ninjas in it now!

Rounding out the week, What We Played featured Nioh 3, Ghost of Yotei & Monsters Are Coming!

Trailer Park

Raji: Kaliyuga announced, set six years after Raji: An Ancient Epic.

See a spectacular boss battle from Tides of Annihilation

Zoopunk is a sensational animal action adventure from the makers of FIST: Forged in Shadow Torch

What have you been playing this week?

  • TSBonyman started playing Observation, and said it “feels like playing 2001 A Space Odyssey, but you take on the role of HAL”

That’s the round up for this week’s round up. Enjoy the weekend, and we’ll catch you for more gaming shenanigans next week!

It’s always surprising when the weather doesn’t match our expectations, especially in a place like Las Vegas! Thanks for sharing this glimpse into your weekend. Looking forward to hearing more about your adventures!
