The persistent rumor about Leon Kennedy’s appearance in Resident Evil Requiem may soon be confirmed. Capcom has admitted that characters from previous games in the franchise will be returning for this ninth installment.
This comes straight from Masato Kumazawa, the producer of Requiem, during an interview with Well Played. While he acknowledged the appearance of former protagonists from the series, he did not want to reveal their identities.
“I would say that yes, there are going to be some characters from the past series to come in, but don’t over-expect or hype it. We can’t promise you anything about that, but the only thing I can say is that there will be characters that have been involved in the Raccoon City incident involved in the game.”
Among the characters linked to the Raccoon City incident are Jill Valentine, Claire Redfield, Ada Wong, and of course Leon Kennedy. Will they be playable? It’s still too early to say.
