Silent Hill 2 Remake is Already Available for Xbox Series X/S in Australia

Seemingly jumping the gun before today’s Xbox Partner Preview showcase, Bloober Team’s Silent Hill 2 is now available on the Xbox Store in Australia. If you’re in a different region, simply change the setting on your Xbox Series X/S and purchase the survival horror title at 50 percent off.

Alongside releasing for Microsoft’s console, this marks the remake’s release on the Microsoft Store for PC as well. As many suspected from the leaked back-end listing, it supports Xbox Play Anywhere, which means buying it on either platform will make it available on the other.

Other notable features, as indicated on the storefront, include Variable Refresh Rate support, HDR10, Dolby Atmos, Ray Tracing, and more. Not unexpected, considering the PS5 version, but still good to know.

Does that pour cold water over the possibility of a Born from a Wish DLC announcement, much less a PS5 Pro patch? We’ll find out when it appears during the Partner Preview at 10 AM PST.

Absolutely, it’s great to see such a beloved classic making a return! The graphics and atmosphere in the remake really enhance the original’s eerie vibe. I’m curious to see how they’ve updated the gameplay mechanics while keeping the core story intact.
