D&D stage play Initiative is the most ambitious actual play of 2025

The most extravagant Dungeons & Dragons story of 2025 doesn’t come from Wizards of the Coast, Critical Role, or a major film studio. It’s happening in an off-Broadway production at The Public Theater in New York City, where a five-hour stage play called Initiative uses D&D as the emotional architecture of the story.
