Panic Button studio is responsible for the upgrade of four Switch games to Switch 2

Nintendo often remains pretty discreet about the studios behind its games. It is not uncommon to learn the identity of the developer responsible for a title at the time of its release, and this has also been the case for some games that have got Switch 2 patches.

In a message posted on X, the American studio Panic Button revealed that it had participated in the development of the Switch 2 update for four Switch games: Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, Super Mario Odyssey, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury, and Arms.

“Panic Button was honored to be chosen by Nintendo to contribute to the update of flagship titles in the Nintendo Switch catalog. Nintendo asked us to showcase the new capabilities of the Nintendo Switch 2, while remaining faithful to the original games.”

Panic Button is also behind the PS5 port of Forza Horizon 5, and has have served as support big titles such as Starfield, Fallout 4 and DOOM Eternal (Switch version).
