November 2025’s PS Plus Extra, Premium lineup was headlined by GTA V, but there’s another free game that members shouldn’t overlook. 2024’s PS5 hidden gem Still Wakes the Deep was also added to the catalog, and players say its Metacritic score of 74/100 doesn’t do the game justice.

Developed by The Chinese Room, Still Wakes the Deep is a Lovecraftian narrative game that’s set in an oil rig in 1975. This isn’t a setting you see often, but it’s the “gripping” story that’s taking players by surprise.
Numerous threads have popped up on gaming forums and social media, with players urging fellow PS Plus members to give Still Wakes the Deep a chance.
“I first played it a couple of months ago on PC Game Pass and really enjoyed the experience,” a member wrote on Reddit. “Back then, it wasn’t available on the PlayStation Store, so I’m thrilled it’s finally been added.”
“Still Wakes the Deep is the best game of this list,” another player wrote. “Great audio and visual effects, interesting story and location.”
For those interested, Still Wakes the Deep takes about five hours to beat. If you’re going for the Platinum, which is fairly easy, you’ll have to set aside approximately 10 hours.
