New, Free Battlefield 6 Update Adds New Content

It has officially been a month since EA and developer Battlefield Studios released the latest entry in the Battlefield series and with another free update on the way, it just goes to show how dedicated its developers are to making this FPS shine.

Launching just last month, Battlefield 6 is the latest instalment in the long-running FPS franchise and is already considered one of the best entries in a long time.

Not only that but with Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 now out in the world and being met with negative reviews due to numerous factors, including the use of AI, it seems as though Battlefield 6 has won this particular FPS war. However, that is mainly due to Battlefield Studios who is still regularly releasing free updates and patches for Battlefield 6 including one that launches today across all platforms.

The rather substantial update aims to make some changes to issues players have been reporting over the past month and is available across PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

Battlefield 6 update version 1.1.2.0 not only comes with various changes and improvements but it also welcomes a brand-new map called Eastwood which is reportedly based on a region of Southern California.

It also arrives alongside a new game mode called Sabotage which will be available for a limited time and a new shotgun known as the DB-12 and the sidearm M357.

There have also been some improvements to Battlefield 6’s aim assist.

Following this patch, the aim assist function should feel similar to the one included in the Battlefield 6 Open Beta as opposed to the full game after fans complained about the latter.

As a result, aiming will now be smoother than before.
