Videoverse now available for PS4 and PS5

Videoverse is a decision-based narrative adventure that brings players back to the early 00’s to interact with the fictional Kinmoku Shark gaming system and its online social network called Videoverse. Players will play as Emmett and make decisions that will change how the story unfolds.

Check out this trailer, as well as the key features of Videoverse:

  • Relive the golden age of social gaming: Be transported to the nostalgia of early ‘00s technology, inspired by platforms such as MSN Messenger and the Miiverse, with a resonant soundtrack by Clark Aboud.
  • A profound, emotionally resonant story: Tap into the power of connectivity found through technology, friendship, and video games. VIDEOVERSE is an unabashed celebration of the games that have brought so many people together.
  • A truly personal experience: Your choices will shape Emmett’s relationships across Videoverse, and perhaps even the fate of the platform itself. Personalize your adventure further with avatar customization and themes.
  • An acclaimed cast: Including Mark Takeshi Ota (Black Myth Wukong, The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, Live a Live) and Leader Looi (The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy, Fortnite, Black Myth Wukong)
  • An adventure open to all: Accessibility features open the world of VIDEOVERSE to all, including clear fonts, closed captioning, colourblind-friendly themes, content warnings and developer tips.
  • The next adventure from Kinmoku: VIDEOVERSE is the next step in Kinmoku’s heritage of rich, immersive, narrative-driven experiences.

“Even if you weren’t a teenager during the early days of the internet, Videoverse is a timeless story that’s been enjoyed by a wide range of players, and I’m so excited more people will now be able to play it on consoles,” says Blundell. “Keep an eye out for UncleFromKinmoku!” ^_-“”

When Videoverse was originally released in 2023, it received great review scores. According to the review aggregate site Metacritic, it garnered an average score of 90 from seven critic reviews. PC players seem to agree with critics, as its user reviews on Steam are “Very Positive.”
