In addition to the brand new Steam Machine, Valve showed two other peripherals on Wednesday, November 12.
Let’s take a look at the new Steam Controller, which features next-generation magnetic joysticks that use TMR technology. This provides a better feel, improved responsiveness, and greater long-term reliability. The gyroscope can be activated by simply pressing the handles, and high-definition vibrations are also included.
The Steam Controller also comes with a dual-function Puck. It serves as a wireless transmitter for a stable and fast connection, but also as a charging station that connects magnetically to the controller. Valve promises great comfort, precise and customizable touchpads, and effective motion control. Four buttons on the back are customizable, the Steam button is located in the center, and there is a quick access menu.
Finally, the controller is compatible with all devices that run Steam (PC, Mac, Linux), as well as Steam Deck, the Steam Machine console, and the Steam Frame VR headset.
