Sony will soon reveal the list of games leaving PS Plus Extra and Premium in December 2025, but as usual, here are some predictions for upcoming departures based on established patterns. If you haven’t already played it, this is probably your last chance to try the polarizing PS5 console exclusive RPG, Forspoken, for free.
Games expected to leave PS Plus Extra and Premium in December 2025
As a reminder, games tend to leave the service either at the 12-month or the 24-month mark, depending on the publisher. Occasionally, you’ll see games leaving PS Plus after six months, too. So let’s dive in.
Most of the games that were added to the service two years ago have already left. However, rumor has it that GTA V is coming back. The only games that are still in the catalog include Souls-like RPG Salt and Sacrifice and the Shadowrun trilogy: Shadowrun Returns, Shadowrun Dragonfall, and Shadowrun Hong Kong.
Games added a year ago include the widely-panned Forspoken, WRC Generations, Sonic Frontiers, Jurassic World Evolution 2, and Coffee Talk 1 & 2 — all of which are still in the catalog.
As for games added six months ago, the only departure we expect is Battlefield 2042. EA has a history of pulling games after six months, and considering it pulled both Battlefield 1 and 5 ahead of 6’s launch, Battlefield 2042 will likely go next.
