NetEase Drops Marvel Rivals Season 5 Love Is A Battlefield Launch Trailer Ahead Of Update

After months of speculation, NetEase Games has finally unveiled the latest details on Season 5 for Marvel Rivals, which promises to drop in just a short few days. Marvel Rivals Season 5 will heavily feature the X-Men, starting with the debut of Gambit, everyone’s favourite Cajun-accented trickster.

The update will introduce a brand new, non-combat oriented map based in New York City, Times Square, on top of new modes and features, including a new Conquest (Annihilation) mode. NetEase also promises smaller, but meaningful QoL and updates to the overall experience, including cross-platform progression, which has been available in early access, giving players the option to sync their account across both PC and console releases of Marvel Rivals.

The season 5 update of Marvel Rivals will also celebrate the first anniversary of the popular Hero (and Villain) shooter, with the theme of the update focusing on Gambit and Rogue’s wedding, which, in classic comic book fashion, goes awry, kicking things off for the season proper, which NetEase has aptly dubbed Love is a Battlefield.

Marvel Rivals Season 5 will also see a new mode, 18 vs 18 Conquest (Annihilation). In this mode, players “will clash in the all-new Grand Garden map, promising epic chaos and unforgettable fun.” Conquest will go live on November 27th, 2025. The team also noted the continuation of development on the recently released Marvel Zombies PvE mode, stating, “In 2026, players can expect more PvE content, with more details to come.”

Season 5 of Marvel Rivals will come out on November 14, 2025, but for those who want a deeper dive into the latest update, NetEase has put out the latest Dev Vision 11, which details the exciting season ahead. The full one-year celebration for Marvel Rivals will kick off later this month on November 27, 2025.
