Ubisoft is releasing Anno 117: Pax Romana on the PS5, Xbox Series and PC this November 13, 2025. The strategy and city sim centered on the Roman Empire has been reviewed by the specialized press. Thus, here we have some analysis prior to release.
On Metacritic, Anno 117: Pax Romana has an impressive average score of 85% on PC (39 reviews) and 81% on PS5 (6 reviews). The OpenCritic score is currently set at 84% based on a total of 33 reviews published to date.
Those who’ve tried the game highlighted the highly polished gameplay mechanics, the enjoyable building aspect, the beautiful graphics, some well-explained tutorials, and the high replay value thanks to the Infinite mode.
As for the few flaws, we can mention a fairly repetitive formula, an overall disappointing campaign, and a rather slow pace.
