Due to community feedback, Electronic Arts and Full Circle are giving players of the popular open-world skateboarding game Skate freebies. Although the game just launched in Early Access, the developer has received some “tough love” from its players due to various bugs, glitches, progression locks, and performance issues that have plagued San Vansterdam.

Skate giving all players in-game gift for limited time

In Full Circle’s blog post titled Dev Update 2025, players will be given 2000 Tix (Skate’s seasonal currency) and 500 San Van Bucks (Skate’s premium currency) between now and the start of Season 2 on December 2, 2025 at 9 a.m. PT. Players simply just have to log in to claim the gift.

Full Circle went into more depth about their struggles with bringing their vision of Skate to fruition.

“Making skate. is a balancing act between delivering the fresh content from our roadmap, improving the overall player experience, and addressing your live feedback. We’re tweaking and fixing the game – some of it on the fly, and some of it as part of longer-term improvements,” says Full Circle’s statement. “But, things will continue to change and improve. We all want skate. to be great, and working with you, our community, to fine-tune the player experience during Early Access is the way we get there.”

Full Circle went into detail about how they solve issues like the softlock and progression blocks, issues with Tasks, and balancing the game’s in-game currency. All of these issues are handled in different ways, and within different time frames, but the developer ensures that it will continue to “improve, grow, and evolve” the game during its Early Access period.

Skate is available for free on the PlayStation Store for PS4 and PS5. Its Skate-O-Ween event is about to end, while the 7-player Maple Harvest event is slated to begin on November 18 and will conclude at the end of Season 1 on December 2.
