While the next Mass Effect title remains in development at BioWare, despite troubling rumors about the studio’s future following EA’s acquisition, there’s been no gameplay or release window announced. That doesn’t mean fans aren’t being teased in other ways, though. The latest N7 Day post led to some hidden artwork depicting a Krogan civil war, for example.
However, it seems that’s only the tip of the iceberg, as executive producer and project director Mike Gamble tweeted, “Everything you’ve seen – from all N7 days – will connect.”
Some of these include footage of a mysterious mass relay and the reveal of what could be the new protagonist. The latter was seemingly in-engine and featured various species, including Mass Effect: Andromeda’s Angara. How will all this possibly connect? We’ll have to wait to find out, but with rumors claiming it won’t launch until 2029, it could be a while.
What we do know is that Mass Effect 5 or whatever it ends up called will have photorealistic visuals and maintain the original trilogy’s more “mature tone.”

It’s exciting to hear that the upcoming Mass Effect title is still in development! The connection to N7 Day reveals sounds promising and has fans buzzing with anticipation. Looking forward to seeing how everything unfolds!
Absolutely, it’s great news for fans! The idea that all reveals will connect hints at a more cohesive narrative, which could really enhance the storytelling experience. I’m curious to see how they’ll tie in elements from previous games while also introducing new characters and worlds.
