Debuting alongside a stunning trailer, some incredible creators have brought fans what they have been craving for years but the launch comes alongside some valid concerns.
There is no denying that Red Dead Redemption 2 is already a masterpiece in its own right, bringing us a stellar narrative, stunning open-world exploration, and iconic characters.
However, with fans eager for more, it is no surprise that its dedicated modding base has found a way to make our pleas heard in this brand-new upcoming release.
Recreated using the Mexican landscape first seen in Red Dead Redemption, a group of talented modders have come together to create Red Dead Redemption 2: Nuevo Paraiso – The Forgotten Frontier.
Nuevo Paraiso, inspired by real-life Mexico, has been designed from the ground up “whilst preserving the aesthetic of both games”.
It adds: “Every town, settlement, and camp has been meticulously created to capture the essence of Mexico, with new vegetation for each region, clean roads and trails, new locations, and immersive landscapes brought to life by the natural movements of its inhabitants as they go about their daily lives.
“The army patrols the borders, and in some places, secrets and remnants of the past remain.”

This information comes from a brand-new trailer released by the Nuevo Paraiso modding group on Youtube.
Since it was first uploaded on 5 November, it has already welcomed almost 30,000 views with fans over the moon to see a fully fleshed-out Mexican mod heading to Red Dead Redemption 2.
Not only will it feature a stunning new map, but players will also be able to discover new secrets, embark on small missions, and even stumble across unique locations hidden off the beaten track.
Staying true to the original
“Considered to perfectly match the atmosphere, lighting, and tone of Red Dead Redemption 2, offering a seamless and coherent experience that stays true to the canon,” the description continues.
“With new areas to explore, adapted mechanics, and a completely recreated world, this mod will encourage everyone to return to Mexico and rediscover how the state was like in the year 1907.”
Available on PC at Nexus Mods, Red Dead Redemption 2: Nuevo Paraiso – The Forgotten Frontier is already racking up a dedicated fanbase but others have unfortunately spotted a valid concern.
Could it receive a DMCA notice by Rockstar Games itself?
“This will be taken down,” one Twitter user remarked.
Another agreed, adding, “They better not take this and Bully’s mods, especially after delaying GTA 6.”
It remains to be seen if Rockstar will indeed target this upcoming release but with such an impressive fanbase behind it already, there will be some unhappy campers if it is.
Red Dead Redemption 2: Nuevo Paraiso – The Forgotten Frontier releases on PC ‘soon’.
