Here’s what the next Steam controller could look like

Valve appears to be busy preparing a new controller that could be released in the coming weeks. It’s currently named Triton, and will surely be closely scrutinized when it launches.

In the meantime, insider Brad Lynch has shared a preliminary render of the accessory. It’s important to note that this image was created using AI, though it is based on an actual photo of the controller. Lynch did not want to share the original image so as not to risk revealing information about his source.

The Steam controller will have several features, including one that detects the distance between the player’s hands and the handles using a detection function.
