Expected in 2026, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 SUPER GPUs appear to be going through serious difficulties. So much so that rumors of a further delay or cancellation are beginning to circulate.
According to Uniko’s Hardware on X, the shortage of GDDR7 memory is the main cause of these problems. The price of DRAM (dynamic random access memory) has skyrocketed, as has the price of NAND flash memory. The artificial intelligence sector is believed to have caused this sharp rise in prices.
The GeForce RTX 5080 SUPER, RTX 5070 Ti SUPER, and RTX 5070 SUPER were to be equipped with 3GB GDDR7 memory chips. The first two cards are to feature 24GB of VRAM and the third 18GB.
