Electronic Arts is quietly shutting down two more PS4 games tomorrow, November 8, 2025, as it continues to gut its back catalog. A total of six PS3 and PS4 games from the ill-fated developer Codemasters will be going offline permanently on Saturday.
PS4 games Dirt 4 and Dirt Rally shutting down tomorrow along with several Codemasters games
2016โs Dirt Rally and 2017โs Dirt 4 will lose online services on November 8. Previously, the publisher had only confirmed server closure for Dirt Showdown, Dirt 3, Grid Autosport, and Grid 2.
This update was shared by an EA employee on World Rally Championshipโs official Discord channel, as spotted by PSNProfiles users.
Four of the games above were originally scheduled to shut down on March 16, 2026, but EA decided to pull the server closure date to November.
Those who own PS4 versions of the above games can play them on PS5 via backwards compatibility. A couple of the titles mentioned above were previously PS Plus monthly games, so a large number of players might have them in their library.
Weโre not sure what the future holds for Codemasters. The developer has stopped working on WRC, and numerous developers have either been laid off or moved to other EA IPs.
