Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra Delayed to Unknown Date

With all the focus on Grand Theft Auto 6’s latest push-back, you may not have noticed the other big-name delay. No, not Terminator 2D: No Fate or UNBEATABLE, but Skydance Games’ Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra. It’s no longer launching in early 2026, and a new release window is yet to be announced.

On Twitter, the developer noted it to be an “ambitious project” and it’s “committed to ensuring it meets the level of quality that our team, players, and fans expect.” As a result, it’s shifting the release window with no indication as to when it could finally launch. Unlike Take-Two’s confidence in GTA 6’s new date, it’s likely taking more time to evaluate any remaining development work before committing.

“We’re grateful for the passion and support from the community and players around the world. The team is working hard to create something truly special, and we look forward to sharing more with you as development progresses.”

Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra was announced in March 2024 with a release window of 2025. That would shift to early next year as the studio needed more time, and with the lack of any gameplay till now, another delay feels somewhat expected.

A leak from last September showcased Black Panther’s melee combat prowess, though it looked to be quite early in development. Check it out here alongside other details, and hopefully, nothing else is delayed in the meantime.
