Need for Speed is the ultimate racing game franchise. Admittedly, the series has lost some of its shine over the last decade or so, causing new releases to not feel as special as they once did. However, EA’s franchise is still huge by nearly every metric, and even “bad” NFS games tend to be, at least, decent. The best NFS games are also among the greatest racing games of all time, and revisiting one of these classics will teleport you back to their original eras. They have great controls, good visuals, fun tracks, and awesome soundtracks; they are the full package.
