Battlefield 6 may have passed the 10 millon units mark, but according to one analyst, Call of Duty is still king

According to new data shared by Alinea Analytics, Battlefield 6 has surpassed 10 million copies sold across all platforms. But for Rhys Elliot, an analyst at the company, this impressive figure will not be enough to overturn the overall dominance of Call of Duty, at least not this year. He points out that Battlefield 6 has enjoyed significant goodwill since the fiasco of Battlefield 2042, while Call of Duty suffers from an image problem due to its Fortnite-inspired cosmetics and repetitive formula.

However, Elliot points out that Call of Duty‘s strength lies in its casual player base, which is loyal to the brand and present on all platforms. Thanks to Warzone and its marketing, millions of players remain constantly exposed to the brand, ensuring Activision’s series enjoys commercial supremacy that is difficult to shake.
