Players are reminded that an intriguing new PS5 exclusive open world RPG will release next week. Chinese games have enjoyed immense popularity in recent years, and from what we’ve seen of Where Winds Meet, we don’t think players should overlook this one.
Chinese open world PS5 RPG Where Winds Meet will be free for everyone
Developed by Everstone Studios and published by NetEase, Where Winds Meet is a free-to-play online open world wuxia RPG. Although it’s F2P, the game’s developers have promised that Where Winds Meet won’t have egregious microtransactions, which is good to hear because it’s a single-player RPG.
“Set during the turbulent era of tenth-century China, you take on the role of a young sword master, uncovering forgotten truths and the mysteries of your own identity,” reads an official overview. “As the wind stirs across mountains and rivers, so too will your legend rise.”
Where Winds Meet will release on Friday, November 14. Those who purchase the game’s pre-order bundle from the PS Store can pre-load the game on November 12. If you don’t want to pay, then just wait and download on release day for free.
The $14.99 pre-order bundle includes
- In-game Appearance Set: Appearance Custom Pack x1
- In-game Name Card: Astral Trail Name Card Background x1
- In-game Common Currency: Coin x10,000
- In-game Draw Token: Lingering Melody x2
