Several high-profile games in 2025 have launched without PS5 Pro enhancements, and a major new game has joined the list. Popular new shooter Arc Raiders offers no dedicated PS5 Pro support, which is a little disappointing for those who own the pricey console.
Lack of Arc Raiders PS5 Pro enhancements is disappointing but not surprising
When Sony announced the PS5 Pro, there was some misconception that AAA games would be mandated to support the console. Not quite. As seen in the latter half of 2025, highly anticipated games either snubbed the console altogether or offered a lackluster implementation of PS5 Pro enhancements.
Borderlands 4, Arc Raiders, Dying Light: The Beast โ all launched without PS5 Pro enhancements. Meanwhile, games like The Outer Worlds 2, Silent Hill f, and Metal Gear Solid Delta performed the worst on the upgraded hardware.
PS5 Pro performance issues tend to stem from the implementation of Sonyโs in-house upscaler, the PSSR. Frankly, given the number of games struggling with PSSR implementation, we think the issue is more on Sonyโs end than the developers.
The good news is, Sony is revising PSSR come 2026, so hereโs hoping that more games will support PS5 Proโฆ and without performance issues.
