Fallout 4 Mod Glitches, Creates Perfect Bethesda Monster

A player encounters a Fallout 4 mod glitch, and by complete accident, the perfect Bethesda monster is created.

The Fallout series is one of the most beloved RPG franchises of all time, with each fan hyped for every new entry from the ever-popular Bethesda series. Perhaps one of the most popular entries from the series is Fallout 4.

Originally released in 2015 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Fallout 4 takes place in Boston, Massachusetts. It tells the tale of a parent trying to rescue their child after he was kidnapped by a cruel mercenary.

Last year, Fallout 4 players were treated to the long-awaited free new-gen update on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Despite some launch hiccups, it made the game look and play more smoothly than ever before.

Furthermore, over the weekend, fans of Bethesda’s post-apocalyptic series were not only treated to a new Fallout 4 release but also to the popular spin-off, Fallout: New Vegas.

One of the benefits of playing Fallout 4 on modern systems is taking advantage of the ever-vibrant modding community, which not only includes the version of the game on PC but also on Xbox Series X/S.

For the most part, the mods in Fallout 4 not only improve visuals and performance, but also add tons of new content, features, bug fixes and much more.

However, one such mod resulted in an unexpected twist but inadvertently created the perfect and most horrific Fallout 4 mutant, which is more than suited for its harsh post-apocalyptic wasteland.

“Centaur mod in Fallout 4 glitched and gave me this abomination,” revealed Reddit user Okan_Zokamee, sharing a screenshot of the monster in question.

Initially, Centaurs were cut from the full release of Fallout 4, but modders were able to bring them back. Don’t get me wrong, there were always hideous-looking creatures, but this glitch has resulted in something that is beyond nightmarish, to say the least.

“I’m digging it, not gonna lie,” replied Puzzleheaded-Fold709.

“Considering the OG Centaurs were a human and dog mix, this could oddly be lore-friendly,” suggested Casual_Garbage.

“Oh god, that’s horrible!” exclaimed Virus-900.

“Centaurs terrified my 10-year-old ass playing Fallout 3, thanks for bringing back my PTSD,” declared Imaginary_Bath_9336.

“Well, Centaurs are abominations, so it tracks,” said Significant_Delay_87.

Fallout 4 is out now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. It’s also available with an Xbox Game Pass subscription at no extra cost, and it’s coming to Nintendo Switch 2 sometime in 2026.
