The Rose Field is a direct continuation of the 2019 novel The Secret Commonwealth, Volume Two of The Book of Dust. For that reason, we won’t say anything about the plot, just in case you aren’t fully caught up with the series.

The Book of Dust can be read without previous experience with Pullman’s fantasy world, but to fully enjoy this trilogy, you should read His Dark Materials first.
