The past few days have been marked by the sensational announcement of the sale of Warner Bros. Discovery. The entity includes the American group’s film, TV, and video game studios (Rocksteady, Avalanche, NetherRealm, etc.).
Such a takeover could seriously shake up the global audiovisual landscape. According to Bloomberg, several potential buyers are interested in the deal. The names Apple, Netflix, NBCUniversal, and Paramount stand out in the report.
If we are to believe the various rumors, Warner Bros. Discovery has even rejected three offers from Paramount Skydance. The latter valued the stock at less than $24, 80% of which was in cash. Warner Bros. management undoubtedly considered these proposals to be too far below the group’s real value.
